Big Rock Outfitters presents:

Chattooga River and Ellicott Rock Wilderness Hike

Dates: Fall, 2011

Join the experienced guides of Big Rock Outfitters for an outing along the famed Chattooga Wild and Scenic River in the Ellicott Rock Wilderness. We will hike in from the Burrell’s Ford parking area, and guide you on an easy hike to our campsite on the Chattooga River, then on to Ellicott Rock, the place where the borders of Georgia, South and North Carolina all meet.  Here you can actually stand in three states at the same time. Along the way, we will also visit beautiful Spoon Auger Falls.

If you have a South Carolina or Georgia fishing license, feel free to bring your fly or spinning rod. We will happily prepare fresh trout for your dinner and/or breakfast. Enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by your guides, and fall asleep alongside the tumbling waters of the Chattooga River. Your tent, sleeping pad and kitchen supplies will all be provided. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, any personal items needed and a day pack for the hike. No need to bring your appetite. You’ll acquire one of those along the way. As we return on Sunday, we will take a side hike past a nineteenth century cemetery and beautiful King’s Creek Falls. In case you were wondering………..the Chattooga River is the river where the movie “Deliverance” was filmed, but we are not likely to hear banjo music. Upon receipt of your registration, we will send you a confirmation letter containing the trip itinerary, list of recommended clothing/gear and specific directions to the trailhead. Group size is limited to 12, so get your registration in right away.

Trip Cost (Includes meals, guide service and gear) - $195.00
